Omer Juma

I was born and raised in Karachi and spent a third of my life in Montréal. I have travelled extensively across Pakistan, Canada, the USA, Costa Rica, four Latin American countries, and nineteen European countries. Drawing inspiration from my travels, multicultural upbringing and multilingual work experiences, I approach each photograph as an opportunity to bridge divides and foster curiosity. My photography spans a diverse range of genres, including abstract, architectural, landscape, and street photography, with an emerging fascination for photojournalism. My careful composition and non-traditional perspectives invite viewers to focus on the mundane objects and bring them to the spotlight with the least effort, unveiling the beauty in the overlooked.
